Intelligent monitoring of Webasto batteries

With the Field Data Monitoring device, manufacturers of electric vehicles can collect and evaluate diagnostic data from the Webasto CV Standard Battery System. Fast software updates, remote maintenance by specialist personnel and the use of extended warranty services (Guarantee Plus) are also possible with the help of the data obtained. The compact retrofittable device regularly sends this data to the Webasto Cloud backend via the mobile network. This gives machine manufacturers and Webasto an overview of the current performance data and the condition of the vehicle batteries. FDM Connect is compatible with trucks, light commercial vehicles, buses and off-road vehicles.

Over-the-air updates (OTA)

Webasto can quickly and easily update or upgrade the battery software remotely.

Troubleshooting and maintenance

Thanks to the remote diagnostics function, any malfunctions that occur can quickly be fixed remotely. Maintenance can also be carried out remotely.

Reduction in costs

Expensive tools and on-site visits are no longer necessary, resulting in fast response times and considerable cost savings.

Guarantee Plus

The battery data is uploaded to the Webasto Cloud on a monthly basis. This allows compliance with the contractually agreed battery usage to be checked. This is the prerequisite for an extended Guarantee Plus warranty offer.

Future-proof services

The use of additional digital services will be possible in the future simply by updating the software over the air.
