Heating solutions for
light and medium duty vehicles
Engine-independent heat for the front, cargo area, engine and traction batteries
Our heating solutions for fuel and electrically powered light and medium duty vehicles provide temperatures that keep drivers and cargo warm even when stationary. They also ensure that the light or medium truck starts reliably, even at very low outside temperatures. Another plus: this saves fuel and emissions. Contact our installation partners in your area to clarify the options for retrofitting in your specific vehicle, which you can find using our dealer search.

A Webasto coolant heater is recommended for heating the front area before driving off and defrosting the windows. It is integrated into the vehicle's coolant circuit. Once the heater has warmed the coolant, the heat is transferred to the air, which then flows into the interior via the vehicle fan. In addition, the heaters can preheat the vehicle engine sothat it starts more easily, even at the lowest ambient temperatures, and requires less fuel. Webasto coolant heaters for vans are available with 3 to 9 kW heat output.
Webasto Air-Top models, on the other hand, heat the air directly and distribute it in the front area or in the load compartment. Where the warm air flows out can be flexibly selected during installation. Our systems can deliver between 2 and 5.5 kW of heating power.
Webasto offers a wide range of applications and parts for individual original equipment and retrofit solutions for both air and coolant heaters.
They can be integrated into 12 and 24 V environments, and also heat with alternative fuels such as HVO and GtL. There are variants with ArcticStart function for particularly cold environments down to -40 degrees Celsius and automatic altitude adjustment up to 5,500 m.
Integrated heat exchangers from Webasto are suitable for using residual engine heat to heat the vehicle interior, offer heating outputs from 3.3 to 13 kW.

Webasto high-voltage heaters (HVH) with heating outputs between 5 and 12 kW are available with 400 and 800 V. Thanks to their highly efficient stratified heating technology, they convert direct current into heat with virtually no loss.
All models are ISO 21434-compliant, but differ in terms of voltage, communication interfaces and service life. Thanks to their extremely compact design, the HVHs require very little installation space. They heat both the interior and the traction batteries, thereby extending their service life and range.
