Webasto offers a wide range of applications and parts for OEM and retrofit solutions for both air and water heaters.
For heating the vehicle cab and compartments you have the choice of air heater models that range in output from 7,000 up to 18,800 BTU/hr (2 and 5.5 kW). Air heaters pull in cold ambient air over a heat exchanger and blow it directly into the interior using variable air outlets.
Water heaters are integrated into the vehicle’s coolant loop to heat and circulate warm coolant through the engine to preheat and condition the engine before startup. This allows for a reliable starting procedure with less stress on components, hydraulic systems, battery, and ultimately saving fuel by eliminating the need for idling.

Heating solutions for electric construction vehicles
Webasto offers extremely efficient high-voltage heaters (HVH) with heating outputs between 5 and 12 kW for battery electric vehicles. With their clever stratified heating technology, the HVHs convert direct current into heat with virtually no loss. All models are ISO 21434-compliant, but differ in terms of voltage, communication interfaces and service life. Thanks to their extremely compact design, the HVHs require very little installation space. They can heat both the cabin and the vehicle batteries, increasing their service life and extending charging cycles.
