Rescue services, civil protection, fire departments - when every second counts, vehicles must be ready for action at all times and specialists must be able to concentrate on their tasks. Webasto supports smooth processes with individually adaptable heating solutions for fuel and electrically powered vehicles. Even in icy outside temperatures, the heaters keep both the front area and the entire vehicle warm evenly and independently of the engine and clear the windows.
In addition, they can preheat the engine as an auxiliary heater to ensure a quick departure at any time. During the operation, specialists can warm up in a dry environment and safely care for their charges. In vehicles with an electric drive, the devices also extend the range. Heating solutions for diesel and gas-powered vehicles
Our coolant heaters are integrated into the vehicle's coolant circuit and heat up the engine and interior before the vehicle even sets off. They also remove ice and moisture from the windows via the vehicle blower. Webasto coolant heaters are available with heating outputs between 3 and 35 kW.
Webasto air heaters heat the air directly and distribute it to freely selectable outlets. Each individual device delivers between 2 and 5.5 kW of heating power. They can be used as parking heaters, but also heat while driving. Webasto offers a wide range of applications and parts for individual original equipment and retrofit solutions for both air and coolant heaters.
They can be integrated into 12 and 24 V environments and also heat with alternative fuels such as HVO and GtL. There are variants with Arctic Start function for particularly cold environments down to -40 degrees Celsius and automatic altitude adjustment up to 5,500 m. Integrated heat exchangers from Webasto are suitable for using residual engine heat to heat the vehicle interior.

Heating solutions for electrically powered vans
Our high-voltage heaters (HVH) with heating outputs between 5 and 12 kW are suitable for both 400 and 800 V environments. Thanks to their highly efficient stratified heating technology, they convert direct current into heat with virtually no loss.
All models are ISO 21434-compliant, but differ in terms of voltage, communication interfaces and service life. Thanks to their extremely compact design, the devices require very little installation space. They heat both the interior and the traction batteries, thereby extending their service life and range.
For electric vehicles that are in use for many hours, have to be available at all times or are used to transport people, our Range Plus retrofit solution provides reliable heat without restricting the range of the traction batteries. It consists of a fuel-powered air heater and a tank for diesel or HVO.
