In April and May, Webasto is inviting electrical fitters to attend a series of three consecutive online seminars (45 minutes each). During these seminars Stefan Hirzinger, electrician, utility engineer and charging expert, will offer detailed information and tips on installing charging stations – in German.

Gilching – April 12, 2022 – From product selection to service entry: In a new series of webinars, electromobility systems provider Webasto provides information on the key aspects that must be taken into consideration when installing charging stations at private homes and businesses. The first webinar, which takes place on April 28, 2022, will focus on analyzing customer needs with the aim of offering the right package. What questions need to be asked upon initial customer contact to ascertain all prerequisites and wishes? What are the on-site installation requirements? How should the charging infrastructure be used – both now and in future? The aim is to select the appropriate product together and then define the preparations required for installation.

The second webinar follows on May 2 and takes a look at the installation details: All details will be subject to careful examination: from selecting the cable cross-section and dimensioning the circuit breaker through to choosing the right RCD/FI circuit breaker. Practical examples will be used to illustrate the theoretical principles and time will be scheduled for individual questions.

The webinar on May 5 will conclude the series by focusing on how charging station(s) are commissioned, including the necessary registrations and tests. Participants will examine which values need to be checked, how a test protocol could appear, and what measurement devices are appropriate for this purpose. Hirzinger will also broach the issue of the checks required for commercial installations and how frequently these must be performed.

Webasto also provides fitters with various information sources regarding charging solutions. These include step-by-step instructions in an installation app, videos on an Internet portal for registered installation partners, special product training, and now the webinar series, too.
