Stockdorf – January 17, 2023 – Stability and quality in challenging times: The Top Employers Institute has once again recognized the automotive supplier Webasto in Germany a "Top Employer" for the new year 2023. The independent institute, which has headquarters in Amsterdam and Düsseldorf, certifies companies and organizations worldwide for their excellent work in human resources. A questionnaire comprising some 400 points serves as the basis of this certification. Webasto achieved outstanding results in the categories Diversity & Inclusion, Ethics & Integrity, Sustainability, and Commitment. The Webasto companies in Romania and China also received the coveted seal.

"The Top Employer certification makes us proud and once again confirms our committed and successful HR work," says Dr Marc Pastowsky, Executive Vice President Human Resources at Webasto. "The award underlines the ongoing commitment of Webasto to offering its employees an attractive working environment with exciting career and development opportunities. Our particularly good results in the areas of ‘Diversity & Inclusion’ and ‘Sustainability’ show that we implement focus topics in a targeted and successful manner. We take the potential we have identified as an incentive to continue to scrutinise and constantly improve our processes and offerings. This year, we are focusing on revising and optimising our global performance management, further expanding our leadership curriculum and implementing the ‘Global Value Awards’ - an internal award for special achievements in line with our corporate values.”

Attractiveness through talent development and work-life balance

Webasto promotes the personal and professional development of its employees through individually tailored training at its own academy, along with holistic career planning through a global talent management program. The automotive supplier is currently gaining expertise in its new fields of business that focus on electromobility, and is looking for new talent.

As a family-owned company with a longstanding tradition, Webasto places great importance on a good balance between working and family life. Depending on the site, Webasto offers its employees an in-house crèche or crèche places in the surrounding area. The company’s in-house health program rounds out the offering.
