Power Test Systems Launches 900 EX Power Bridge
Power Test Systems launches 900 EX Power Bridge to expand Battery Testing Capability up to 1500V and 500kW
Webasto 900 EX Power Bridge
Fenton, Mich. – June 16, 2026 - As demand for higher voltage battery testing continues to
accelerate, Webasto is proud to introduce the 900 EX Power Bridge, a new solution designed to help
customers scale with confidence. Built to integrate seamlessly with the Webasto 900 EX, the Power
Bridge expands testing capability while maintaining simplicity, reliability, and control users expect.
The 900 EX Power Bridge enables users to combine two 900 EX units, increasing total system
performance up to 1500V and 500kW. This allows test engineers to meet the growing demands of
next-generation battery systems and energy storage architecture without introducing additional
complexity to control, calibration, or service workflows. By leveraging existing infrastructure, customers
can confidently scale their testing capability while maintaining operational consistency.
“The 900 EX Power Bridge represents a major step forward for users looking to scale their battery
testing capabilities without disrupting existing test setups,” said Dimitri Liambotis, Sales Manager of
Power Test Systems at Webasto. “By enabling higher voltage and power levels while maintaining the
familiar look, feel, and function of the 900 EX, we’re giving our customers a flexible, future-ready
solution that builds directly on the infrastructure they already trust.”
The Power Bridge solution is already delivering results for leading test organizations such as Excel
Engineering, an independent laboratory specializing in advanced electrical and energy storage system
validation across automotive, off-road, rail, marine, and stationary markets.
Faced with increasing demand for 1500V platform testing, Excel Engineering required a solution that
could expand capability without sacrificing precision or efficiency. By implementing the 900 EX Power
Bridge, they successfully enhanced their test offering while maintaining the control and
responsiveness required for modern high-voltage programs.
“This solution allowed us to meet the needs of our customers in a timely manner, which is paramount,”
said Matt Sobotka, General Manager of Electrification Testing at Excel Engineering. “The controllability,
ease of use, and install of the 900 EX are unmatched in the industry. Projects often require high
frequency controls, which we have been able to achieve with this setup.”
The 900 EX Power Bridge gives OEMs, suppliers, and test labs a clear path to scale performance -
delivering higher voltage capability while preserving confidence in proven systems.
