Climate and Roof Solutions 

From November 16 to 18, Webasto, thermal management expert and electromobility systems partner, will showcase customized solutions in the fields of climate control and electromobility, together with customized roof solutions for boat-specific requirements, at METSTRADE in Amsterdam.

Stockdorf/Amsterdam – November 15, 2021 – At Booth 431 in Hall 3, visitors to Webasto, the leading systems partner for mobility and climate solutions, will be able to discover the new BlueCool F-Series fresh air system for the first time. It is the ideal complement to any centralized air conditioning system. While an air conditioning system tempers the air inside a room, a fresh air system filters and cools or heats external air to the ideal comfort temperature, while simultaneously exhausting stale air to the outside.

Three different models, all of which are powered by a highly efficient, electrically commutated (EC) fan, offer a high volumetric airflow of between 500 and 2,000 m³/h. With a cooling capacity of up to 84 kBTU/h, which is 75 percent greater compared with previous models, the new series is also ideally suited for larger boats or yachts. Webasto has also further improved the climate controller by integrating a proportional valve, which means that the supply air temperature remains constant throughout. The compact technical design of the BlueCool F-Series moreover facilitates installation in almost any space.

Custom systems for all requirements

The new Ti22 ProX Chiller Series was initially developed with a focus on the American market. The fully modular system with extremely robust titanium seawater heat exchangers can be individually configured for each boat. The modules are available with capacities of 36, 48, 60 and 72 kBTU/h and are compatible with the Altivar 320 frequency converter. This ensures that the Ti22 ProX Chiller’s compressor starts up extremely smoothly. It simultaneously protects the compressor by monitoring input voltage and output current. The sophisticated modular electronics allow rapid setup and – if necessary – easy troubleshooting. The Webasto MyTouch touchscreen controller makes control even more convenient and can be connected to up to six individual Ti22 ProX Chiller modules.

Ready for e-mobility

This year, Webasto is also demonstrating its expertise in the field of e-mobility with its CV Standard battery. Whether sailboat, ferry or yacht – the battery is suitable for all potential applications while meeting the most stringent requirements and standards. It is scalable in 35 kWh steps – from 35 to 140 kWh – and available in voltages of 400V and 800V.
