New water heater from Webasto for commercial and
specialty vehicles

Gilching – April 8, 2025 – With up to five kilowatts (kW) of heating power, the Webasto Thermo Top Pro 50 parking heater heats coolant circuits in various vehicles and machines. Cabins, engines and hydraulic systems are preheated for use. For the classic parking heater function, the device brings heat into the vehicle via a heat exchanger and the existing air outlets. The windshield defrosts and the driver's area warms up.

As the successor to the Thermo Pro 50 Eco, the Thermo Top Pro 50 has a new blower module and a more efficient coolant fluid pump with an increased flow rate and service life. In automatically controlled operation, the heater adjusts its output stepless between 2.5 and 5.0 kW depending on the heat requirement. These optimizations ensure significantly reduced fuel consumption and therefore lower emissions. Compared to the previous model, the backwards-compatible appliance retains the same dimensions and weight of just 2.2 kilograms.

Thanks to an analog and the new digital LIN interface, the Thermo Top Pro 50 can be configured according to individual requirements and controlled centrally. Various Webasto control elements are also available. A new, standardized, extremely robust 16-pin connector that is sealed against water and dust replaces the various connectors that were previously dependent on installation, thus facilitating integration into different vehicles. In addition, the new heater has automatic altitude adjustment up to 4,000 meters above sea level as standard. The device is also protected against cyber attacks in accordance with ISO 21434 and certified accordingly. Functional safety is guaranteed in accordance with ISO 26262.
