Our plant in Veľký Meder has been manufacturing premium quality convertible tops since 1999, making it one of Webasto's most important production location in this segment. The site is more than just a production facility; it is also Webasto's global textile competence center, where we perfect the latest material technologies and production processes. In our modern production halls, roof systems are manufactured using state-of-the-art technology.

Our site in Veľký Meder operates as Webasto's global textile competence center, where even the most complex soft top systems are born. We handle the entire production process in-house, from precision cutting and sewing to final assembly. Alongside traditional methods, we use cutting-edge technologies such as ultrasonic welding and special bonding, which guarantee a perfect fit and long service life. This technological diversity ensures that we can offer innovative, highest-quality solutions for the unique needs of each of our partners.
“Masterpiece Manufacture” – our new production area
The “Masterpiece Manufacture” is a dedicated production space for our new Ultra Low Volume (ULV) automotive projects.
In 2025, our team in Velky Meder transformed a former storage building into a 170 m² specialized production area. This new space will serve as:
- A manufacturing hub for ULV projects
- A showroom for exclusive customer events
- A platform for special edition builds
