Webasto is the "Best Brand" in the category conditioning/heating for the seventh time in succession

6/1/2011
Readers of the ETM magazines Fernfahrer, lastauto omnibus and trans aktuell have once again voted Webasto top of the list

Stockdorf/Munich – The overwhelming majority of readers of the Fernfahrer, lastauto omnibus and trans aktuell magazines have once again voted for Webasto products in the "Best Brands" survey. This secured the company first place in the category "Air-conditioning systems and heaters for commercial vehicles". With 65 percent of the votes, Webasto once again outstripped the competition this year.

Dr. Joachim Damasky, CEO of the Global Comfort Solutions division of Webasto AG, received the prize at the awards ceremony on May 31th 2011 in Stuttgart: "We are delighted by the unbroken trust in our products. This award is a motivation to continue giving our best to increase the efficiency and profitability of vehicles and at the same time to improve safety for drivers on the roads."

Webasto offers solutions for optimum temperatures in the cab at both the height of summer and in the depths of winter. These products do away with running engines to operate the heating or cooling system. Idling is not only forbidden in the EU, an idling engine also consumes up to three litres of fuel every hour. Heating and air conditioning systems from Webasto therefore make trucks much more economical. Heat and cold also have a negative effect on the driver's concentration. Solutions from Webasto hence make for more safety on the roads. Readers of the trade journals published by the ETM Verlag, who include decision-makers and experts from the commercial vehicles sector, are also aware of this.

High turnout for readers' poll
The "Best Brands" survey of the ETM Verlag in Stuttgart was the 15th in succession this year. Readers of the trade journals include decision-makers and experts from the commercial vehicles sector. 7,696 readers took part in this year's survey. The high competence of the readers as well as a constant and lively participation make the award a yardstick for the acceptance and image of brands in the commercial vehicle industry.
