Stockdorf/Munich. – Webasto and Gebo have just signed a wide-ranging cooperation agreement covering the area of yacht fittings. Under this agreement Webasto will in future be marketing the Dutch manufacturer’s hatches, windows and roof systems on an exclusive basis in 14 countries.

For Stockdorf-based Webasto this is a further decisive step on the way to establishing itself as complete system supplier for convenient solutions in the marine sector. Gebo’s top-grade glazing products, which in future will be sold directly to shipyards, boast the Lloyd seaworthiness certificate and impress not only with their elegant and pleasing looks but also with their robust, high-quality finish, above all where aluminium frames are concerned. Alone the high quality aura is already enough to make Gebo an idea partner for Webasto, apart from which the Gebo products – with their focus on light and air – optimally complement the successful Webasto concept. As Phillip A. Thompson, Head of Webasto AG’s Global Comfort Solutions Division says: “Gebo’s portfolio of products makes a perfect match for our Marine C5 concept – Complete Cabin Climate Comfort Control. Our customers can now obtain heating and air-conditioning systems as well as marine glazing from one single source. Our target is clearly defined: We aim to become the world’s leading specialist for heating, air-conditioning, light and air in and on board the boat!” 

Gebo has been internationally successful as an innovative manufacturer of complete glazing systems for boats and yachts for over 50 years. “Our company has a long tradition, and the cooperation with Webasto now opens up the opportunity for us to market our products internationally and thus reach new markets”, says Lex Knape, Managing Director of Gebo.
