Stockdorf/Munich. – Bus manufacturers, bus companies and public transport providers are all under pressure to adapt their vehicles to meet passengers' growing demands for comfort in order to be more competitive towards other means of transport. So buses need to be made ever more attractive, comfortable and environmentally friendly. Webasto is meeting these requirements with its fully-fledged generation of parking heaters in the Thermo range (Thermo 230/300/350).

Today, the name Webasto stands for reliable and comfortable parking heaters for cars, trucks and buses all over the world. The fact that well over 150,000 Webasto heaters are already in operation in buses also speaks volumes about Webasto's quality, expertise and comprehensive experience in airconditioning systems for buses. It is no coincidence that Webasto is in high demand as a systems partner for vehicle manufacturers.

Webasto is once again setting the trend with its Thermo 230/300/350 heaters, which are designed for series installation and retrofitting alike. Despite offering a range of power outputs, the models in the Thermo range are all the same size. The power and consumption data for these tried-and-tested heating units is guaranteed to impress, as will their low weight and compact dimensions (610 x 246 x 220 mm). The Thermo range is also suitable for installation in low-floor buses. The integrated, easy-to-operate auxiliary heating function keeps the temperature of low-consumption engines to an optimum.

Heating output varies between 23 and 35 kW, with power consumption ranging from 64 to 140 Watt and fuel consumption between 3 and 4.5 l/h, depending on the model.

When developing these heating systems, Webasto's engineers placed particular emphasis on ease of service and maintenance. This comes through in the ease of access, cuttingedge modular technology and integrated two-stage diagnostic systems. The fullyelectric control unit and the burner components are connected directly without any need for an additional wiring harness, thereby increasing reliability. The plugtype connectors, which can be accessed from the outside, are mounted laterally on the unit so that assembly and disassembly is simplicity itself.

All in all, the Thermo series from Webasto is a well-rounded range of products for optimum comfort on buses, featuring convenient operation and a convincing maintenance and service concept.
