Stockdorf/Munich. – Webasto Thermo Top parking heaters offer car drivers tailor-made comfort all year round – providing heat in winter and parking ventilation to bring fresh air into overheated cars in summer. In order to speed up the time required to achieve pleasant temperatures in vehicles with larger passenger compartments, Webasto now offers the Thermo Top P, a new, high-performance parking heater.

In this case “P” stands for power – and more power is precisely what has been achieved, by reducing the flow rate in the cooling circuit. This heats the coolant quicker: the temperature of the water and ventilator air increases considerably faster, particularly noticeable in vehicles with large water circulation systems and spacious interiors. Depending on the vehicle model and its water circulation system, the Thermo Top P reduces windscreen defrost times by up to 50% compared to traditional heating systems. Tests carried out on vans show that 30% less heating time is required for comparable interior heating.

This accelerated heating time brings additional benefits: because less electricity is required, the load placed on the battery by the vehicle’s fans is considerably reduced, so the battery recharges more quickly. Since the journey time to heating time ratio should always be at least the same over the long term to keep the battery fully charged, the Webasto Thermo Top P reduces the length of journey required to recharge the battery.

The new Webasto Thermo Top P is aimed mainly at drivers of luxury vehicles, as well as vans, off-road and special vehicles with large interiors. Depending on the package selected, recommended prices range from € 998 for the basic package, including timer, €1268 for the radio remote control option, up to €1368 for the Call Thermo Top that allows you to operate the parking heater by telephone.
