Preheat the engine and interior, parking ventilation in summer

The benefits of a Webasto parking heater are not limited to the comfort of the passengers. The Webasto systems in the Thermo Top range also provide the engine with the right "ambient temperature" and ensure a safe start with optimum fuel consumption. This is due to the functional principles of the Thermo Top units. A fuel burner first heats the engine coolant circulation system. The vehicle’s heat exchangers then heat the interior. The increasing intelligence of the electronic controls is making Webasto parking heaters even more reliable and comfortable. The optional parking ventilation function converts all Thermo Top models from purely winter accessories to year-round aids. On a timer or with a radio signal, the intelligent system can activate vehicle fans in summer, eliminating a build-up of heat in the vehicle.

Increasing intelligence and added benefits for the engine

The Thermo Top system’s selectable preheating times of up to one hour melt even the hardest frosts. To activate the system, car drivers have the option of manual programming via timer or conveniently operating the Tele Thermo Top via remote control using Telestart T80 with feedback signal. The Thermo Call TC 1 system is a special product that enables the parking heater to be operated from any telephone and also offers timer functions. The latest addition to the remote control family is the Webasto Telestart T 100 HTM – an intelligent remote control that automatically ensures that the vehicle reaches the required level of comfort at the required time, making waiting times a thing of the past. By detecting the inside temperature and automatically calculating the heating time, it knows when the parking heating needs to be switched on to achieve the optimal result at the right time.

Tailor-made Thermo Top solutions

Different versions of the Webasto Thermo Top offer the ideal heating solution for every vehicle, whether diesel- or petrol-engine. Solutions are available for:
- Small cars and compact vehicles: Thermo Top E, 4.2 kW heating capacity, variable preheating time of up to 60 minutes,
- Medium-class cars, luxury and large saloon cars, mini vans, vans, off-road vehicles: Thermo Top C, 5.2 kW heating capacity, variable preheating time of up to 60 minutes,
- Vehicles with large passenger compartments (vans, off-road-vehicles) or high comfort requirements: Thermo Top P with circulation pump control,
- Cars with low heating capacity: Thermo Top Z, burner-driven supplementary heater with 5 kW heating capacity – even in continuous operation.

Economical aftermarket kits are also available for diesel vehicles fitted with
the Thermo Top Z as standard.

In addition to the basic versions with timer, the Tele Thermo Top E and C versions are also available as “standard models” supplied with the T 80, and the particularly economic “Tele plus” comfort package (heating system, plus T 80, plus timer, plus two hand-held transmitters).
