The Webasto CC 4 E and 4 Es rooftop air conditioners Air conditioning made easy |
 |
• Integrated drive compressor • Easier installation • Simple to retrofit
Stockdorf/Munich. – “Intelligent, practical and almost square”: these are the key features of the new Webasto Compact Cooler 4E rooftop air conditioning system and its OEM split-variant, the Compact Cooler 4Es. The aerodynamically designed units are extremely compact, offering both a functional and aesthetic air conditioning solution for smaller bus passenger compartments and driver seats. The choice between circulating or fresh air operation also increases the efficiency of the Es version. The “small” members of the proven Webasto Compact Cooler family also impress by their particularly positive price-performance ratio.
Compact Cooler 4 E
Pre-filled with R134A refrigerant, the CC4E is based on the proven CC5 from the Compact Cooler family and has the special feature of an integrated electric-drive compressor. The easy installation of this design makes it economical to retrofit the driver’s seat air conditioning and to air condition the passenger compartment.
The compressor in the coolant unit is driven by a 24 V-EC electric motor. Quiet, sparing on the battery at start-up, with undervoltage protection and functionally efficient, the CC 4E can also be run for a short time when parked with the engine switched off. A three-level evaporator fan delivers an air circulation of up to 630 cubic metres per hour, guaranteeing an evenly high cooling capacity.
When retrofitted, the Webasto CC 4E rooftop unit requires no extra tubing. The refrigeration cycle is pre-filled with CFC-free refrigerant at the factory. These compact coolers are thus easy to install and service, and allow the economical retrofitting of driver’s seat air conditioning in buses, HGVs, construction and agricultural machinery and other special vehicles.
With the Compact Cooler 4Es split unit, which is based on the Compact Cooler 4E, you can use the vehicle’s own fan and air distribution system for the air conditioning. The evaporator is located locally in the vehicle’s standard heating/ventilation unit and is connected to the roof-mounted unit by two refrigerant hoses.
