Stockdorf/Munich. – With the bycool parking cooling systems Webasto is proving once again that it can provide a comfortable climate for all types of vehicles all year round. Based on the evaporation principle, this cooling system is designed to cool even when the engine is switched off. As a result  there is no need for a compressor, allowing the bycool to get on with its work as quietly as possible. The electricity power consumption ranges from 9.6 to 96 W (in an eight-level setting) and is extremely easy on the battery. And of course there’s nothing to stop you using it on the move. One pleasant side effect of electric power is that it doesn’t use any fuel.

Compact at only 860 x 785 x 240 mm (L x W x H), the bycool can be installed on almost any vehicle. The fan and damp fleece are contained in the inconspicuous, aerodynamically designed roof unit. Water required by the bycool’s reservoir is piped across a special fleece, together with air drawn from outside. The resulting evaporation cools the air, which is conducted into the vehicle’s interior through individually adjustable outlet units. Because the air is humidified, the air inside does not dehydrate, unlike many air conditioning systems. The bycool cooling system requires minimum maintenance: you only need to change the damp fleece (and the water disinfectant) [please check] from time to time, which is not expensive and takes no time at all.

Bycool parking air conditioning systems are adapted to suit a wide range of applications and are available in different versions:
• bycool Evolution – Standard model for all kinds of commercial vehicles, ADR version also available.
• bycool Mochila – specially designed for car transporters and vehicles with low roofs; installed on the rear wall of the driver’s cab
• bycool Microfilter – fitted with an activated carbon filter, this version ensures that the fresh air that fills the drivers cabs of commercial vehicles has a very low in dust and pollen content
• bycool Camper – specially designed to meet requirements in mobile homes

All cooling functions, from switching on and off to the infinitely variable fan speed settings, can be conveniently operated using the bycool remote control, which has a range of around 50 metres. And the best thing is, that because it works on radio frequency, it can be used in any direction, so you don’t have to point it at a particular part of the vehicle.
