Stockdorf/Munich. - Motorhomes should also be able to enjoy the proven advantages of water heaters. Alongside the tried-and-tested Air Top family, Webasto therefore offers the Thermo 90 ST Motorcaravan heater. Flexible to integrate, this burner-based heating unit has a triple function: heating the driver compartment, heating the living quarters and preheating the engine.

Designed especially for use in large vehicles, the “power version” of Webasto’s water heaters clearly stands out from its smaller siblings in the Thermo Top family. The Thermo 90 ST Motorcaravan has an infinitely variable and continually adjustable heat output range of 1.8 to 7.6 kW. Booster mode increases this still further, to a maximum output of 9.1 kW.

Reliable, low-noise operation

The Thermo 90 ST Motorcaravan also takes account of the specific requirements of motor campers with its extremely quiet operation and emphasis on heating the vehicle interior. As an optional second step it will also preheat the engine, prolonging the latter’s life and reducing emissions.

The proven Ferro-Tec burner technology used in the Thermo 90 ST Motorcaravan-heater guarantees constant, clean burning without coking, a typical problem with diesel fuels. The use of high-quality ceramic technology in the glow plug and flame monitor reduces power consumption during start-up.

In comparison with its successful predecessor, the Thermo 90 S, the Thermo 90 ST Motorcaravan is even more compact and therefore easier to fit, plus all its components are connected directly to the control unit. Thanks to CAN-bus capability and an integrated control unit with water jet-proof plugs, the design of the Webasto Thermo 90 ST Motorcaravan allows it to be easily integrated in a water heating circuit, thereby providing an economically attractive alternative to LPG-heater designs. Easy maintenance, together with PC diagnosis and CO2 adjustment by PC diagnosis, all increase the heater’s suitability for everyday use still further.
