Our activities are largely on a local level. Because the Webasto production sites and national countries get involved in various social projects in their localities. Our headquarters also supports educational projects of the Webasto Foundation. We aim to achieve the following through this commitment:
- to help in the education of children
- to encourage scientific and academic projects
- to enable further training
- to confer sponsorship awards.
Webasto Foundation
The Webasto Foundation was set up in 1997 and since then has been encouraging various educational projects, particularly in Central America. For example, the Foundation has enabled the establishment of a school in San Marcos (El Salvador). This comprises two buildings as part of the German-Salvatorian school center and houses approximately ten classrooms was well as workshops and a library. This gives hundreds of children a qualified education. The school itself is run by Sisters of the Franciscan Order.
