We also want to remain the no. 1 in our main business areas in the long-term - but at least the no. 2. We achieve this goal by beating the competition in the fields of quality, innovation and price.
We ensure comfort and safety in vehicles – whether on land or at sea.. Webasto offers convertible, roof and body systems as well as heating, cooling and ventilation systems for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. We also offer roof and temperature management systems on the camping, marine and special vehicles markets. We want to make mobility more comfortable and safer with our products. We satisfy the wish for spacious, light vehicle interiors with a maximum supply of fresh air through innovative roof systems. At the same time our temperature management systems, for example parking heaters for cars, ensure an optimum climate from the word go.
Strategy

Customer focus, worldwide. Thanks to its international presence, Webasto is never far from its customers thanks to its international presence. Webasto cooperates with almost all automobile manufactures in both business units. What's more, final customers can also retrofit our parking heaters and sliding roofs via service partners. True to our motto „Feel the drive“, we want to take an active part in shaping tomorrow's mobile world.
Motivated and well-trained employees. Closer international cooperation will become more and more important for survival in international rivalry and under the growing pressure of costs and competition. On the one hand, international missions offer opportunities for career enhancement in various functional areas, and on the other they are becoming increasingly important against the background of our customer structure. What's more, continuous further education and on-the-job training is a key element for the success of our company. With this in mind, Webasto was one of the first automotive suppliers to set up its own internal advanced training institution in 1991, the so-called Webasto Academy.
Ambitious goals call for investments in the future. Webasto has been family-owned since its foundation in 1901. The capital and management have been separate entities since 1991. The company traditionally has a high level of research, development and investment activities so that it brings innovative products to production standard. Webasto contributes its expertise along the entire value creation chain of its products in close cooperation with customers – from market research, development and production through marketing.
Optimization of the entire process chain. Development and production standards as well as the continuous optimization of processes are key success factors. All processes have to satisfy the requirements, namely that our products are made to a high quality, environment-friendly and cost-optimized. This is why we are implementing a standardized production system at all sites. Wastage is being constantly eliminated in the process chain within the scope of Kaizen workshops, just like in the industrial role model Toyota. The Webasto production system is an important element in ensuring our long-term market leadership.
